Chicken Noodles
I just got this album. Its Buckethead with keyboarder Travis Dickinson. As stated on the Wiki-page I linked to above, this is an album based on one of the songs from the “Population Override” album, which I liked lots.
The only instruments used on this album were the guitar and a Fender Rhodes, and its quite refreshing to hear it… very spontaneous, very improvisational, very very cool. I had it on constant repeat yesterday and must have listened to the whole album like 6-7 times, and I enjoyed it very much.
Its quite experimental, all jam-y, but very melodic, and I am once again amazed by Buckethead and his versatility. You can easily tell its him playing, sure, but not only is it very cool to hear him in a context like this, he also plays very tastefully, absolutely appropiate for the general mood of the whole thing… great stuff.
Anyway, if this sounds interesting to you, you should check it out!

Sorry…

…for the lack of posts recently. People who have been visiting my blog for a while prolly arent surprised anyway. Just busy times, and I dont wanna just write something without having something to write about, you know?
So sorry for theĀ lack of new posts.
For now, I can only say that things will quiet down a bit soon, and I might write a bit more then.
And here is a neat picking-exercise that I tabbed out for the Pulse-newsletter. You can use this in all keys and for different patterns, and its a cool chop-builder
